Pet Product Safety & Care
A few simple habits keep playtime safe and help your products last longer.
Toys & chews
- Supervise your pet with any new toy until you know how they play with it.
- Choose a size larger than your pet's mouth can swallow.
- Check toys regularly and throw away any that are torn, cracked or missing pieces.
- Rotate toys to keep them interesting and reduce wear.
Lick mats, slow feeders & snuffle toys
- Use pet-safe foods only. Never use peanut butter or spreads containing xylitol.
- Wash after every use. Silicone items can be hand-washed in warm, soapy water; fabric snuffle toys can be rinsed and air-dried.
- Remove mats or toys that are being chewed apart.
Beds, carriers & hammocks
- Check size and weight guidance before use.
- For suction-cup window perches, install on clean, smooth glass and test with a little weight before your cat jumps on.
- Never leave a pet unattended in a grooming hammock or sling carrier.
Small pets & birds
- Offer natural chews in addition to, not instead of, a balanced diet with hay or species-appropriate food.
- Replace soiled or chewed fabric hideouts.
